Massey Ferguson 0B.01.14 – Mid Mount Valve Module: Loader Mid Mount Electro Valve Solenoid Low Amp Draw

The diagnostic system has detected that the electrical current (amperage) flowing through the solenoid circuit for the mid-mount loader valve is lower than the expected normal operating range, typically indicating high electrical resistance.

   Inspect the wiring harness and electrical connector at the mid-mount electro valve solenoid for visible damage, frayed wires, or loose pins.

   Check the solenoid connector for dirt, moisture, or corrosion, and ensure the ground connection is secure.

   Test the resistance (ohms) of the solenoid coil using a multimeter and compare to OEM specifications (high resistance or 'OL' indicates internal failure).

   Check for continuity in the wiring harness between the Mid Mount Valve Module and the solenoid connector to rule out a broken wire.

   Power Down

   Turn off the tractor and disconnect the battery to ensure safety and prevent short circuits.

   Locate the Valve

   Locate the mid-mount electro valve block (typically mounted under the right-hand side of the cab or mid-chassis).

   Clean and Re-seat

   Disconnect the electrical connector from the affected solenoid. Clean the terminals with electrical contact cleaner. If corrosion was the only issue, apply a small amount of dielectric grease, reconnect, and test the system.

   Replace the Solenoid

   If the solenoid coil failed the multimeter test, remove the retaining nut or screw holding the solenoid coil to the valve stem.

   Install New Coil

   Slide the old solenoid coil off the valve cartridge. Slide the new solenoid coil onto the cartridge and secure it with the retaining hardware (ensure it is snug, but do not overtighten).

   Reassemble

   Reconnect the wiring harness to the new solenoid.

   Clear Codes

   Reconnect the battery, turn the key on, and use a compatible Massey Ferguson diagnostic tool to clear the DTCs.

   Test

   Operate the loader joystick to confirm proper hydraulic function and ensure the fault code does not return.
