Massey Ferguson 0B.01.24: Issue With Voltage From Loader Selector Switch In Cab
Issue description
The tractor's onboard diagnostic system has detected an abnormal electrical reading (such as an open circuit, short circuit, or out-of-range voltage) coming from the switch used by the operator to select or control the front-end loader functions.

Check the cause
Verify that the battery voltage is at a minimum of 12.4V to rule out false codes from low system voltage.
Inspect the loader selector switch for physical damage, sticking, or liquid ingress.
Check the wiring harness between the cab selector switch and the control module for pinched wires, chafing, or loose/corroded pins.
Use a compatible diagnostic tool to read live data from the switch and verify if voltage changes when toggled.
Repair steps
Power Down
Turn off the tractor and disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent electrical shorts during the repair.
Access the Switch
Carefully remove the trim panels on the armrest or the joystick console to access the rear of the loader selector switch.
Disconnect and Inspect
Unplug the electrical connector from the switch. Inspect the connector terminals for corrosion or spread pins. Clean with electrical contact cleaner if necessary.
Test/Replace the Switch
If the wiring harness is intact but the switch fails to pass voltage correctly, remove the mounting hardware and extract the faulty switch.
Install the New Part
Insert the replacement loader selector switch into the console and secure it. Reconnect the electrical plug.
Reassemble
Reinstall all cab trim panels and armrest covers.
Clear Codes
Reconnect the battery. Turn the key to the ON position and use a compatible diagnostic tool to clear the 0B.01.24 fault code from the system. Test the loader functions to ensure the issue is resolved.
Parts you might need
(1)Massey Ferguson Loader Selector Switch / Integrated Joystick Switch
The exact switch configuration varies heavily depending on whether the tractor has an integrated loader joystick or a standalone auxiliary hydraulic panel. You must verify the correct part number with a Massey Ferguson dealer using the tractor's specific serial number.
