Massey Ferguson 0B.02.13 – Mid Mount Valve Module: Loader Mid Mount Electro Valve Supply Solenoid Open Circuit

The control module has detected a break in the electrical circuit (infinite resistance or lack of continuity) supplying power to the main supply solenoid on the mid-mount loader valve block. This prevents the solenoid from energizing, which will typically disable the loader's hydraulic functions.

   Visual Inspection: Locate the mid-mount valve block and inspect the wiring harness leading to the supply solenoid for obvious breaks, chafing, or rodent damage.

   Connector Check: Unplug the connector at the supply solenoid. Check for pushed-out pins, severe corrosion, or water ingress, which can cause an open circuit reading.

   Coil Resistance Test: Using a digital multimeter, measure the resistance across the two pins of the solenoid coil. An 'open circuit' will read as infinite resistance (OL).

   Harness Continuity Test: If the coil tests good, check the continuity of the wiring harness from the solenoid connector back to the Mid Mount Valve Module to isolate a broken wire.

   Safety First

   Lower the loader to the ground to relieve hydraulic pressure. Turn off the tractor and disconnect the negative battery terminal.

   Access the Valve

   Locate the mid-mount electro-hydraulic valve block. Clean the area around the supply solenoid to prevent dirt from entering the hydraulic system.

   Disconnect Wiring

   Unplug the electrical connector from the faulty supply solenoid.

   Remove the Solenoid Coil

   Remove the retaining nut at the end of the valve stem and slide the faulty electromagnetic coil off the valve cartridge.

   Install the New Coil

   Slide the replacement solenoid coil over the valve stem and tighten the retaining nut to the manufacturer's specified torque.

   Reconnect and Clear Codes

   Reconnect the wiring harness. Reconnect the battery. Use a compatible Massey Ferguson diagnostic tool to clear the 0B.02.13 fault code, or cycle the key to see if the system self-clears the inactive code.

   Test Operation

   Start the tractor and test the loader joystick to ensure full functionality is restored.
