Massey Ferguson 0B.02.24 – Armrest Control Module (ACM) or Loader/Mid-Mount Valve Controller: Issue With Voltage From Loader Selector Switch In Cab

The control module is receiving an electrical signal from the loader selector switch that falls outside the expected voltage parameters. This is typically caused by a short circuit, an open circuit, a faulty switch mechanism, or a damaged wiring harness between the switch and the controller.

   Ensure the tractor's battery is fully charged (minimum 12.4V - 12.6V) as low system voltage can trigger false electrical faults.

   Inspect the loader selector switch/joystick in the cab for physical damage, sticking buttons, or liquid spills.

   Access the wiring harness beneath the armrest/console, disconnect the switch, and inspect the pins for corrosion, bent terminals, or moisture.

   Using a multimeter, verify the reference voltage reaching the switch from the control module (typically 5V or 12V) and test the ground circuit for high resistance.

   Look for accompanying codes such as 0B.X.16 (No Communication Between The Dash and The Mid Mount Electro Valve) which would point to a broader CAN bus or harness issue.

   Power Down

   Turn off the ignition and disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent electrical shorts during repair.

   Access the Switch

   Remove the retaining screws on the armrest control panel or the side console trim where the loader selector switch/joystick is mounted.

   Remove the Faulty Component

   Carefully lift the panel and disconnect the electrical multi-plug connector from the bottom of the loader selector switch. Unclip or unscrew the switch from its mounting bezel.

   Harness Repair (If Applicable)

   If the diagnostic checks revealed chafed wires under the seat or armrest pivot points, splice and heat-shrink the damaged wires before installing the new switch.

   Install the New Switch

   Seat the replacement switch into the console bezel and reconnect the electrical plug. Ensure the locking tab clicks into place.

   Reassembly

   Reinstall the armrest/console trim panels and reconnect the battery.

   Clear Codes & Calibrate

   Turn the ignition on. Use a compatible Massey Ferguson diagnostic tool to clear the 0B.02.24 fault code. Test the loader functions to ensure the mid-mount valves respond correctly to the switch inputs.
