Massey Ferguson 0B.X.07 – Mid Mount Valve Module: Loader Mid Mount Electro Valve Solenoid Open Circuit

The onboard diagnostic system has detected a break in the electrical circuit (an open circuit) that controls the mid-mount electro-hydraulic valve solenoid for the loader. This is typically caused by a disconnected plug, a severed wire in the harness, or a failed (burnt out) internal coil within the solenoid itself.

   Locate the mid-mount electro valve block for the loader and inspect the electrical connector at the solenoid for disconnected plugs, corrosion, or pushed-out pins.

   Trace the wiring harness from the solenoid back to the Mid Mount Valve Module, looking for chafed, pinched, or broken wires that would cause an open circuit.

   Unplug the solenoid and use a multimeter to measure the resistance (Ohms) across the solenoid's coil pins. If the reading is infinite (OL), the open circuit is internal to the solenoid.

   Ensure there are no secondary codes (like 0B.X.16) indicating a loss of communication between the Dash and the Valve Module.

   Power Down

   Turn off the tractor and remove the key to ensure the circuit is unpowered.

   Access the Valve Block

   Locate the loader's mid-mount valve assembly.

   Disconnect and Test

   Unplug the harness connector from the affected solenoid. Perform the resistance test mentioned above.

   Repair Wiring

   If the solenoid tests within normal resistance specifications, the fault lies in the wiring. Repair any broken wires in the harness between the module and the valve.

   Replace Solenoid

   If the solenoid coil is internally open (infinite resistance), remove the retaining nut/bolt holding the solenoid coil to the valve stem and slide the old coil off. Slide the new OEM solenoid coil onto the stem and secure it.

   Reassemble and Clear Codes

   Reconnect the electrical plug. Use a compatible Massey Ferguson diagnostic tool or interface device to clear the DTCs from the system and verify the loader operates correctly.
