Massey Ferguson 0B.X.08 – Mid Mount Valve Module: Loader Mid Mount Electro Valve Solenoid Low Amp Draw

Issue description

The control module is detecting less electrical current (amperage) than expected flowing through the solenoid circuit that controls the mid-mount loader valve. A low amp draw typically indicates high electrical resistance in the circuit, most commonly caused by a failing solenoid coil, a loose or corroded electrical connector, or a partially broken wire in the harness.

Check the cause

  1. Inspect the wiring harness and connectors leading to the mid-mount electro valve block for pushed-out pins, corrosion, or frayed wires.

  2. Disconnect the suspect solenoid and use a multimeter to measure the resistance across the solenoid coil pins. Compare to OEM specifications to check for a faulty coil.

  3. Perform a swap test by exchanging the suspect solenoid coil with a known good one on the same block. If the fault code follows the coil, the coil is faulty; if it remains 0B.X.08, the issue is in the wiring harness or module.
