Massey Ferguson 0B.X.11 – Mid Mount Valve Module: Loader Mid Mount Electro Valve Solenoid Low Amp Draw

The system has detected that the electrical current (amperage) drawn by the loader's mid-mount electro valve solenoid is lower than the expected operating threshold. A "low amp draw" typically indicates an open circuit, which can be caused by a broken wire, a disconnected or corroded plug, a poor ground, or a burnt-out (open) solenoid coil.

   Locate the mid-mount valve block (usually mounted on the right side of the chassis below the cab) and visually inspect the wiring harness leading to the electro valve solenoids for chafing, breaks, or rodent damage.

   Disconnect the plug at the suspect solenoid and check for water ingress, corrosion, or pushed-out pins.

   Perform a coil resistance test using a multimeter set to Ohms (Ω) across the two pins of the solenoid coil. An infinite (OL) reading indicates a broken internal coil (open circuit) and the solenoid must be replaced.

   Perform a voltage/command test by unplugging the connector, having an operator command the loader function from the cab joystick, and measuring voltage at the harness connector. You should see control voltage (typically 12V); if no voltage is present, the issue lies in the wiring harness or the Mid Mount Valve Module itself.

   Safety First

   Lower the loader to the ground, turn off the tractor, and cycle the loader joystick to relieve any residual hydraulic pressure in the system.

   Disconnect

   Unplug the electrical connector from the failed mid-mount electro valve solenoid.

   Remove the Coil

   Remove the retaining nut on the top of the valve stem and slide the faulty electromagnetic coil off the hydraulic valve cartridge. (Note: You usually do not need to remove the hydraulic valve cartridge itself, which prevents fluid loss).

   Install the New Coil

   Slide the new OEM solenoid coil over the valve stem and tighten the retaining nut securely.

   Reconnect

   Plug the electrical harness back into the new solenoid. Ensure the weather seal clicks into place.

   Clear Codes

   Start the tractor, test the loader functions for proper operation, and use a compatible diagnostic tool to clear the 0B.X.11 inactive fault code from the system.
