Massey Ferguson 0B.X.13 – Mid Mount Valve Module or Dash/Main Tractor ECU: Loader Mid Mount Electro Valve Supply Solenoid Open Circuit
Issue description
The system has detected an "open circuit" in the electrical circuit for the loader's mid-mount valve supply solenoid. This means electrical current is not flowing through the circuit, which is typically caused by a broken wire, a disconnected plug, or a completely burned-out internal coil inside the solenoid itself.

Check the cause
Visually inspect the wiring harness leading to the supply solenoid on the mid-mount valve block for physical damage, chafing, or rodent damage.
Unplug the connector at the supply solenoid and check for pushed-out pins, heavy corrosion, or moisture ingress.
Perform a coil resistance test using a digital multimeter across the two pins of the solenoid coil. A healthy coil reads 5 to 15 ohms; a reading of 'OL' (Out of Limits) indicates the internal coil is broken and must be replaced.
If the coil tests fine, check the continuity of the wiring harness from the solenoid connector back to the Mid Mount Valve Module to isolate a broken wire.
Repair steps
Power Down
Turn off the tractor, remove the key, and disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent electrical shorts.
Relieve Pressure
Ensure the loader is resting flat on the ground and cycle the joystick to relieve any residual hydraulic pressure (though replacing just the electrical coil usually does not open the hydraulic circuit).
Disconnect
Unplug the electrical connector from the faulty supply solenoid on the mid-mount valve block.
Remove Coil
Remove the retaining nut at the end of the solenoid stem. Slide the faulty electromagnetic coil off the hydraulic valve cartridge. (Note: Do not remove the actual valve cartridge from the manifold unless it is leaking or mechanically stuck, as this will spill hydraulic fluid).
Install New Coil
Slide the new solenoid coil over the valve stem. Install and tighten the retaining nut to the manufacturer's torque spec (do not overtighten, or you may crack the plastic coil housing).
Reconnect
Plug the electrical harness back into the new solenoid.
Test
Reconnect the battery. Turn the key on and use the tractor's dash or a diagnostic tool to clear the inactive 0B.X.13 fault code. Start the tractor and test the loader joystick for proper operation.
