Massey Ferguson 0B.X.24: Issue With Voltage From Loader Selector Switch In Cab

The tractor's onboard diagnostic system has detected an abnormal voltage signal (such as an open circuit, short to ground, or short to power) coming from the switch inside the cab used to select or activate front-end loader functions.

   Inspect the loader selector switch/joystick push buttons in the cab for physical damage, sticking, or wear.

   Access the wiring harness beneath the joystick/selector switch and check the connector for loose pins, corrosion, or disconnected wires.

   Using a multimeter, verify that the switch is receiving the correct reference voltage (typically a 12.5V circuit).

   Test the switch itself for continuity when pressed/toggled to ensure it closes the circuit and does not show high resistance.

   Power Down

   Turn off the tractor and disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent short circuits while working on cab electronics.

   Access the Switch

   Carefully pry or unscrew the loader joystick handle or the side console panel where the loader selector switch is mounted.

   Disconnect the Harness

   Unplug the electrical connector from the bottom of the selector switch.

   Remove the Faulty Switch

   If it is a push-button style switch on the joystick, push it out of its 13.2mm mounting hole. If it is a console switch, unclip it from the panel.

   Install the New Switch

   Snap the new selector switch into the mounting hole (ensure it is seated flush against the panel, which is typically up to 2.3mm thick).

   Reconnect and Reassemble

   Plug the wiring harness back into the switch. Reassemble the joystick handle or console panel.

   Clear Codes

   Reconnect the battery, turn the key to the ON position, and use a compatible diagnostic tool to clear the 0B.00.24 fault code. Test the loader functions to ensure the code does not return.
