Massey Ferguson 10.00.01 – AIRCON: Air Conditioning Vent Temperature Sensor Open Circuit

   Locate the vent temperature sensor (typically mounted directly into the HVAC evaporator housing or main air distribution duct behind the cab console/headliner) and check the electrical connector to ensure it hasn't vibrated loose.

   Inspect the wiring between the sensor and the AIRCON module for chafing, rodent damage, or pinched wires that could sever the connection.

   Disconnect the sensor and use a digital multimeter to measure the resistance (Ohms) across the sensor's pins. If the multimeter reads 'OL' (Open Loop) or infinite resistance, the sensor has failed internally.

   If the sensor tests within normal resistance ranges, check the wiring harness for continuity from the sensor connector back to the AIRCON module pins.

   Power Down

   Turn off the tractor, remove the key, and disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent electrical shorts.
