   Visual Inspection of the Sensor: Locate the cab interior temperature sensor (usually mounted in the cab headliner, near the right-side fuse panel, or behind the recirculation louvers) and inspect the small aspirator fan inside the sensor housing for dirt/chaff physically jamming the tiny fan blades.

   Wiring and Connector Check: Disconnect the sensor and inspect the wiring harness connector (often labeled X69 or SE3) for loose pins, corrosion, or wire chafing.

   Voltage Test: Turn the key to the ON position and use a multimeter to verify that the sensor is receiving the proper reference voltage and ground from the AIRCON module.

   Component Test: If the wiring is intact and the fan is not physically jammed but still refuses to spin when plugged in, the sensor's internal fan motor has failed.

   Power Down

   Turn off the tractor and engage the battery isolator switch to prevent electrical shorts.

   Access the Sensor

   Remove the interior trim panel or headliner section where the cab temperature sensor is mounted.

   Attempt Cleaning

   If the sensor fan is visibly caked in dust, use compressed air (at a very low PSI) or electrical contact cleaner to gently blow out the debris. Reconnect and test. If the code clears and the fan spins, replacement may not be necessary.

   Remove the Sensor

   If the sensor is dead, depress the locking tab on the electrical connector and unplug the harness. Unclip or unscrew the sensor from its mounting bracket.

   Install the New Part

   Snap the new ambient temperature sensor into the bracket and plug in the electrical connector.

   Reassembly & Clearing Codes

   Reinstall the cab trim panels. Turn on the battery isolator and start the tractor. Test the automatic climate control to ensure it regulates temperature properly. The code should move to an inactive state or can be cleared via the tractor's diagnostic menu/EDT tool.
