10.01.15

Massey Ferguson 10.01.15 – AIRCON: Air Vent Circulation Flap Position Sensor Supply Voltage Issue (AIRCON)

Issue description

The climate control system is detecting an improper supply voltage (either an open circuit, short to ground, or short to power) going to the position sensor of the air vent circulation flap. Because the controller cannot verify the flap's position due to the voltage issue, the HVAC system may default to a fixed position or fail to regulate cab temperature efficiently.

Check the cause

  1. Verify that the climate control panel (AIRCON module) is powering on correctly, as these panels are known failure points.

  2. Locate the circulation flap actuator and inspect the wiring harness and connector for corrosion, pushed-out pins, or moisture ingress.

  3. Test for a steady 5V reference voltage at the actuator connector with the key in the ON position. If voltage is missing, suspect a wiring break or faulty AIRCON module. If voltage is present, suspect a failed position sensor inside the actuator.

Repair steps

  1. Disconnect Power

Turn off the tractor and disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent electrical shorts.

  2. Access the HVAC Unit

Remove the cab roof panel or interior headliner/dash panels required to access the HVAC blower and blend door assemblies.

  3. Replace the Actuator

If the diagnostic tests point to a failed sensor, locate the air vent circulation flap actuator. Remove the mounting screws, disconnect the electrical connector, and remove the actuator. Install the new actuator, ensuring the splines/linkage align correctly with the flap door.

  4. Repair Wiring/Module (If Applicable)

If the supply voltage was missing during diagnostics, trace the wire back to the AIRCON module and repair any breaks. If the wire is intact, the Climate Control Panel must be replaced or sent out for remanufacturing.

  5. Reassembly & Calibration

Reconnect the battery. Turn the ignition on and operate the recirculation dial/button on the climate panel. Ensure the flap moves smoothly without binding.

  6. Clear Codes

Connect the AGCO Electronic Diagnostic Tool (EDT) to the tractor's diagnostic port and clear the 10.00.15 / 10.01.15 fault code.
