Check the cause
Check the heater pump relay (X452 or X660) for proper switching and ensure the contacts are not burnt or corroded.
Inspect the wiring harness between the AIRCON module and the heater pump relay for chafed wires, loose pins, or corrosion.
Test the cab heater accelerator pump (X453) by applying direct 12V power to see if the motor engages, checking for a seized or shorted condition.
Check the cab heater water solenoid to ensure it is functioning and not shorting out the shared climate control circuits.
Repair steps
Power Down
Turn off the tractor and disconnect the battery's negative terminal to prevent electrical shorts during repair.
Access the Relay Panel
Locate the cab fuse and relay box (often located in the cab roof harness or right-hand console depending on the exact model).
Replace the Relay
If the heater pump relay (X452/X660) failed bench testing, replace it with a new 12V relay.
Repair Wiring
If the harness is damaged between the AIRCON module and the relay, splice and solder the broken wires, sealing them with heat-shrink tubing.
Replace the Heater Pump
If the pump (X453) is seized, drain the coolant from the heater circuit, disconnect the inlet/outlet hoses, unplug the electrical connector, and swap in the replacement pump. Refill and bleed the coolant system.
Reassemble and Clear Codes
Reconnect the battery, turn the ignition on, and use a diagnostic tool to clear the 10.01.22 fault code. Test the cab heater to ensure the pump runs and the code does not return.
