Check the cause
Verify Global Engine Speed Data: Check the tractor's instrument cluster. Is the tachometer working? If the dash also shows zero RPM while the engine is running, the issue is likely a failed Engine Speed Sensor (Hall effect sensor) or an Engine ECU issue, rather than an AC module problem.
Check for Accompanying CAN Codes: Scan for other codes. If you see codes like 10.00.25 (No Vehicle Speed Information Received) or 10.00.26 (No Engine Coolant Temperature Information Received), the entire CAN link to the AC module is down, pointing to a wiring harness failure rather than a single missing parameter.
Inspect Cab-to-Engine Harness Connectors: Inspect the bulkhead connectors where the wiring harness passes from the engine bay into the cab. Look for pushed-out pins, moisture intrusion, or corrosion.
Test CAN Bus Resistance: With the battery disconnected, measure the resistance across the CAN High and CAN Low pins at the AC module connector. A healthy CAN bus should read approximately 60 ohms. A reading of 120 ohms indicates an open circuit somewhere on the bus.

Disconnect Power
Disconnect the negative battery terminal before probing CAN bus wiring or unplugging modules to prevent voltage spikes.
Access the AC Module
Locate the AC control module (often integrated into the climate control panel in the cab roof or side console, depending on the model).
Clean and Reseat Connectors

Trace and Repair Wiring
If the CAN bus resistance test failed (showing 120 ohms or an open circuit), trace the CAN High and CAN Low wires from the AC module back to the main cab harness splice. Repair any chafed or broken wires.
Replace the Engine Speed Sensor (If Applicable)
If the tachometer is also dead, locate the engine speed sensor (typically located at the timing end or flywheel housing). Check the air gap and wiring to the sensor. Replace the sensor if it has failed.
Replace the AC Module
If the wiring is perfectly intact, the engine ECU is successfully broadcasting the RPM data to other modules (like the dash), and the AC module still logs the code, the CAN transceiver inside the AC module has likely failed. Replace the module.
Clear Codes
Reconnect the battery, turn the key to the ON position, and use a diagnostic tool to clear the fault codes. Start the tractor and verify AC operation.
