Massey Ferguson 10.01.30 – AIRCON Module: Issue With Signal To Right Cab Fan Speed Controller (AIRCON)

Issue description

The electronic control system is detecting an abnormal, missing, or out-of-range electrical signal from the speed controller (often a blower motor resistor or electronic speed control module) that regulates the right-side cab HVAC fan.

Check the cause

  1. Inspect the cab fuse box (usually located on the right-hand console or B-pillar) for blown fuses related to the HVAC system, cab fans, or the AIRCON module.

  2. Access the right cab fan speed controller in the cab roof/headliner and inspect the wiring harness for chafing, breaks, or melted insulation.

  3. Disconnect the plug at the right fan speed controller and look for corrosion, pushed-out pins, or signs of overheating (melted plastic).

  4. Use a multi-meter to verify that the controller is receiving proper battery voltage and ground, and check the signal wire from the AIRCON module to ensure the command signal is reaching the controller.

Repair steps

  1. Disconnect Power

Turn off the tractor and disconnect the battery isolator switch to prevent electrical shorts.

  2. Access the HVAC Unit

Remove the inner cab roof liner/headliner panels to expose the air conditioning and heater blower assembly.

  3. Locate the Controller

Identify the right cab fan speed controller (it will be mounted near or directly on the right blower motor housing to utilize the airflow for cooling its heat sink).

  4. Remove the Faulty Component

Unplug the electrical connector. Remove the retaining screws holding the speed controller in place and pull it out of the HVAC housing.

  5. Install the New Part

Insert the replacement speed controller, secure it with the screws, and reconnect the electrical harness. Ensure the connection is tight and secure.

  6. Reassemble and Test

Reinstall the cab roof liner. Reconnect the battery, turn the ignition on, and test the right cab fan through all speed settings.

  7. Clear Codes

Use the AGCO Electronic Diagnostic Tool (EDT) or the tractor's onboard diagnostic dashboard menu to clear the inactive 10.01.30 fault code.

Parts you might need

(1)
  • Right Cab Fan Speed Controller

Ensure you are purchasing the controller for the right side, as some models use separate, non-interchangeable controllers for the left and right blower motors.
