10.02.06

Massey Ferguson 10.02.06 – AIRCON: Cab Temperature Sensor Short Circuit (AIRCON)

Issue description

The climate control unit has detected a short circuit in the inside cab temperature sensor circuit, indicating a voltage drop outside the normal operating range (typically below 0.7 V) due to a signal wire shorted to ground or an internal sensor failure.

Check the cause

  1. Locate the inside cab temperature sensor, typically found below the operator's seat or mounted in the top right side of the cab fuse panel

  2. Visually inspect the sensor connections and the wiring harness for physical damage, a loose fit, pinched wires, or corrosion

  3. Use a voltmeter to test the sensor circuit, checking for continuity to ground on the signal wire to confirm if the short is in the wiring harness or internal to the sensor

Repair steps

  1. Power Down

Turn off the machine and disconnect the battery to prevent electrical spikes.

  2. Access the Sensor

Remove the necessary trim panels (under the seat or near the fuse panel) to access the cab temperature sensor.

  3. Repair Wiring

If the diagnostic checks revealed a pinched or bare wire shorting to the frame/ground, repair the damaged section of the wiring harness.

  4. Replace the Sensor

If the wiring is intact and the short is internal to the sensor, unplug the faulty sensor and install the replacement unit.

  5. Reassemble and Clear Codes

Reinstall any removed cab panels, reconnect the battery, and use a diagnostic tool to clear the 10.02.06 fault code. Run the HVAC system to verify the repair.
