Issue description
The signal from the left-hand fan speed controller (or fan adapter module) is outside its normal operating range.

Check the cause
Check system voltage to ensure the tractor is not experiencing an overvoltage or undervoltage condition (which can trigger related codes and deactivate the control unit)
Inspect the wiring harness running from the left-hand fan adapter module (Component X445) to the Air Conditioning Control Module (X439/X440) for chafing, breaks, or short circuits
Use a multimeter to test the signal voltage coming from the fan speed controller/potentiometer to verify if it is genuinely out of range or if the module is receiving a dead signal
Test the physical fan speed switch in the cab to ensure it is sending the correct resistance/voltage values through its different speed detents
Repair steps
Access the HVAC Unit
Disconnect the tractor's battery. Remove the necessary cab roof panels or interior headliner to access the HVAC blower assembly and the Air Conditioning Control Module.
Locate Component X445
Find the left-hand fan adapter module (speed controller/resistor block) mounted near or on the left blower fan housing.
Clean and Re-seat Connectors
Disconnect the harness to the fan adapter module. Clean the contacts with electrical contact cleaner, check for pushed-out pins, and re-seat the connector.
Replace the Controller/Switch
If the wiring is intact but the signal remains out of range, replace the faulty fan speed controller module or the cab blower switch.
Reassemble and Clear Codes
Reconnect the battery, turn the ignition on, and use a diagnostic tool to clear the 10.02.27 fault code. Test the left cab fan through all speed settings to ensure the issue is resolved.
