Massey Ferguson 10.03.07 – AIRCON: Air Conditioning Outside Temperature Sensor Open Circuit

The climate control system is unable to detect a complete electrical circuit from the external/ambient air temperature sensor. When this fault is active, the automatic climate control system loses its external temperature reference and defaults to a fail-safe mode where the water valve opening and the air conditioning must be controlled manually.

   Locate the outside/ambient air temperature sensor (often mounted near the front intake or cab exterior) and visually inspect the physical condition of the sensor and its wiring.

   Disconnect the sensor plug and check for loose pins, moisture, or corrosion, which can cause an open circuit reading.

   Use a multimeter to check the wiring harness between the sensor connector and the AIRCON module for breaks or chafing.

   Test the sensor itself with a multimeter to see if it reads an infinite resistance (internal open circuit). If it does, the sensor is dead.

   Turn off the tractor ignition to de-energize the AIRCON module.

   Locate the faulty outside air temperature sensor.

   Unplug the electrical connector from the sensor.

   If the diagnostic checks revealed a broken wire in the harness, repair the wiring and re-pin the connector as necessary.

   If the sensor is internally faulty, unclip or unthread the old sensor from its mounting bracket and install the new replacement sensor.

   Reconnect the electrical harness, ensuring the plug clicks securely into place.

   Turn the ignition on and use the AGCO Electronic Diagnostic Tool (EDT) or the tractor's instrument panel to clear the inactive 10.03.07 fault code.

   Verify that the air conditioning system resumes automatic control functionality.
