Massey Ferguson 10.03.22 – AC Module (AIRCON): Optional Cab Heater Pump Relay Signal From AC Module (AIRCON)
Issue description
This fault code indicates a signal circuit malfunction involving the relay that controls the optional cab heater pump. The system is detecting an abnormal signal (such as an open circuit, short to ground, or short to power) on the communication line between the AC Module and the heater pump relay.

Check the cause
Verify the Code: Access the diagnostic system through the tractor's display panel/dashboard to confirm 10.03.22 is active.
Locate the Relay: Check the cab roof harness or main fuse/relay panel (often designated as component X660 or X452).
Inspect Wiring & Connectors: Inspect the wiring harness between the AC module and the relay. Look for chafed wires, corrosion, or loose pins.
Check Associated Components: Check the heater pump switch (designated X662) and the heater accelerator pump connections (designated X453) for shorts or disconnects.
Test the Relay: Swap the heater pump relay with a known good relay of the same type (e.g., a work light relay) to see if the fault clears.
Repair steps
Power Down
Turn off the tractor ignition and disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent electrical shorts.
Access the Relay Panel
Open the cab roof access panel or the designated relay center for your specific model to locate the Optional Cab Heater Pump Relay (X660 / X452).
Remove and Replace
Pull the faulty relay from its socket. Inspect the socket terminals for heat damage or corrosion. If the socket is clean, plug in the replacement relay.
Repair Wiring (If Applicable)
If the relay socket or wiring harness shows damage, splice in a new pigtail connector or repair the broken wire using heat-shrink butt connectors.
Reassemble and Clear Codes
Reconnect the battery. Turn the ignition on, enter the diagnostic mode via the dashboard, and clear the stored error codes.
Test Operation
Turn on the cab heater to verify the heater pump engages and ensure the 10.03.22 code does not return.
Parts you might need
(1)Cab Heater Pump Relay (12V Automotive Relay)
Verify the amperage rating and pin layout (e.g., Bosch-style 20/30A) on the side of the original relay before purchasing a replacement.
