Issue description
The Air Conditioning (AIRCON) module requires the engine speed (RPM) signal to safely manage the AC compressor clutch. This code triggers when the AC module stops receiving this specific CAN message.

Check the cause
Check Global Engine Speed Data: Start the tractor and look at the dashboard tachometer. If the tachometer is dead or other modules are throwing engine speed codes, the root cause is likely the primary Engine Speed Sensor or the Engine ECU itself.
Check for Accompanying CAN Codes: Scan the tractor for other CAN bus communication errors. If multiple modules are offline, you have a main CAN backbone issue rather than an isolated AC module issue.
Inspect the AC Module Connector: Access the AC control module and check the multi-pin connector for water ingress, corrosion, or backed-out pins.
Test CAN Bus Resistance: With the tractor off and the battery disconnected, probe the CAN High and CAN Low pins at the AC module connector. You should see approximately 60 ohms of resistance. A reading of 120 ohms indicates an open circuit to one of the terminating resistors.

Disconnect Power
Turn off the ignition and disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent electrical spikes.
Access the Wiring
Remove the interior cab trim panels required to access the AIRCON module and its wiring harness.
Clean and Reseat Connectors
Disconnect the harness from the AC module. Spray the connector pins (both on the module and the harness side) with a high-quality electrical contact cleaner. Ensure no pins are bent or pushed back into the plastic housing.
Trace and Repair Wiring
If the CAN resistance test failed, trace the CAN High (usually yellow) and CAN Low (usually green) wires from the AC module back to the cab's main CAN hub or bulkhead connector. Look for pinch points, chafing against the cab frame, or rodent damage. Splice and solder any broken wires, sealing them with heat-shrink tubing.
Reassemble and Clear Codes
Reconnect the AC module and the battery. Connect a diagnostic tool (such as the AGCO EDT) to the tractor's diagnostic port and clear the inactive 10.03.24 fault code.
Test Operation
Start the tractor and engage the air conditioning. Monitor the live data in the AC module to verify it is now registering the engine RPM. If the wiring is 100% intact but the module still cannot see the CAN bus, the AC module's internal CAN transceiver has failed and the module must be replaced.
