Massey Ferguson 10.03.25 – AC Module (AIRCON): No Vehicle Speed Information Received On The CAN BUS To AC Module (AIRCON)

The Air Conditioning (AC) control module relies on vehicle speed data to regulate cooling performance and fan speeds. This fault code triggers when the AC module stops receiving the vehicle speed data message over the tractor's CAN bus network. This data is typically broadcast by the Transmission Control Unit (TCU) or the main Dash module.

   Perform a global code scan using the AGCO Electronic Diagnostic Tool (EDT) or Wintest software to check for transmission or dash speed sensor faults

   Check for other CAN bus communication codes (such as D 149 or D 150) that indicate a broader network failure

   Inspect the AC module connectors (e.g., blue and yellow connectors) for moisture, corrosion, or backed-out pins

   Measure the CAN bus resistance across the CAN High and CAN Low pins at the AC module connector with the battery disconnected (should read approximately 60 ohms)

   Address Speed Sensor Faults First

   If your diagnostic scan revealed a transmission speed sensor fault, replace the faulty speed sensor. Clear the codes and test drive the tractor. If the AC module code 10.03.25 disappears, the repair is complete.

   Inspect and Clean AC Module Connections

   If the speed sensor is working (the dash displays the correct speed), the issue is isolated to the AC module's connection to the CAN bus. Disconnect the AC module harnesses. Clean the contacts with electrical contact cleaner and ensure the pins are tight.

   Check Harness Continuity

   Perform a continuity test on the CAN bus wires from the AC module back to the main cab harness splice. Repair any chafed or broken wires.

   Replace the AC Module

   If the wiring is intact, the CAN bus resistance is correct, and the speed signal is verified to be on the network but the AC module still logs code 10.03.25, the internal CAN transceiver in the AC module has failed. Replace the AC module.

   Clear and Verify

   Reconnect the AGCO EDT, clear all fault codes, and run the tractor. Verify that the AC system operates normally and the code does not return.
