Massey Ferguson 10.X.06 – AIRCON: Cab Temperature Sensor Short Circuit (AIRCON)
Issue description
The climate control system has detected a short circuit in the inside cab temperature sensor or its wiring circuit. The controller is receiving an out-of-range voltage signal (typically shorted to ground or shorted to a power source), which prevents the automatic temperature control from accurately reading the cabin's interior temperature.

Check the cause
Locate the inside cab temperature sensor (typically mounted in the top right side of the interior fuse panel or behind interior cab louvers) and visually inspect the wiring harness for pinched wires, chafing, or melted insulation.
Disconnect the sensor and inspect the electrical pins for corrosion, moisture, or bent terminals.
Measure the resistance across the sensor terminals with a multimeter. A dead short (near 0 ohms) indicates the sensor has failed internally.
With the sensor disconnected, turn the key ON and check for continuity to ground on the signal wire. Continuity to ground indicates the short circuit is in the wiring harness.
