Check the cause

  1. Verify the optional cab extra fan relay in the cab roof or main fuse/relay panel for continuity and ensure it is not stuck open or closed

  2. Inspect the wiring harness and connections between the AC Module (AIRCON) and the extra cab fan relay for chafed wires, loose pins, or corrosion

  3. Test the AC Module output to verify it is sending the voltage signal to the relay when the extra fan is commanded on

Repair steps

  1. Replace relay

If the relay is faulty, replace it.

  2. Repair wiring harness

If the wiring is damaged, repair the harness.

  3. Reprogram or replace AC module

If the module fails to send a signal despite good inputs, the AC module itself may require reprogramming or replacement.
