Issue description
The Air Conditioning system relies on the vehicle's ground speed data (broadcasted by the transmission or main vehicle ECU) to optimize cabin climate control, regulate fan speeds, and manage the AC compressor load. This code triggers when the AC module loses this specific data feed, either due to a network communication failure, a wiring issue, or a missing speed signal at the source.

Check the cause
Verify tractor speedometer operation to see if the dashboard is displaying vehicle speed while driving (a dead speedometer indicates a transmission speed sensor or main ECU issue rather than an AC module fault)
Check for accompanying CAN codes, such as engine speed or transmission communication faults, which indicate the broader CAN bus network is compromised
Inspect wiring and connectors at the rear of the AC control panel in the cab for chafing, backed-out pins, moisture, or corrosion (particularly on the CAN High and CAN Low wires)
Test CAN bus integrity with the battery disconnected by measuring resistance across the network at the AC module connector (should read approximately 60 ohms)
Repair steps
Disconnect Power
Turn off the tractor and disconnect the battery to prevent electrical shorts while working on the CAN network.
Access the AC Module
Remove the interior cab trim panels required to access the ventilation/climate control panel (usually located in the roof console or side pillar, depending on the series).
Clean and Reseat Connections
Unplug the AC module. Apply electrical contact cleaner to the pins on both the module and the harness. Ensure the pins are tight and reseat the connector firmly.
Repair Wiring
If diagnostic testing revealed a broken CAN wire leading to the roof/cab harness, splice and repair the damaged section using OEM-approved CAN bus repair wire (maintaining the wire twist).
Replace the Speed Sensor
If the tractor has a global loss of speed data, locate the vehicle speed sensor on the transmission housing, verify its wiring, and replace the sensor.
Replace the AC Module
If the wiring is perfect, the tractor knows its speed, and the code persists, the CAN transceiver inside the AC module has likely failed. Replace the climate control panel.
Clear Codes
Reconnect the battery, use a diagnostic scan tool to clear the 10.X.25 code, and test drive the tractor to verify the AC system receives the speed data.
