10.X.32

Massey Ferguson 10.X.32 – Air Conditioning Module (AIRCON): Issue With Signal To Right Cab Fan Speed Controller (AIRCON)

Issue description

The electronic control system has detected an anomaly—such as an open circuit, short circuit, or out-of-range voltage—on the signal circuit that regulates the speed of the right-side cab blower fan.

Check the cause

  1. Access the right-side cab fan assembly (typically located in the cab roof/headliner HVAC housing) and visually inspect the wiring harness leading to the fan speed controller.

  2. Disconnect the plug at the speed controller and check for melted plastic, burnt pins, or severe corrosion, which are common in high-current blower circuits.

  3. Using a multimeter, test the signal wire between the AIRCON module and the right fan speed controller for continuity, short to ground, or short to power.

  4. Verify if the AIRCON module is sending the correct variable voltage signal when the fan speed dial is adjusted in the cab.

Repair steps

  1. Disconnect Power

Turn off the tractor and disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent electrical shorts.

  2. Access the Controller

Remove the necessary cab roof panels or HVAC access covers to reach the right-side blower motor and its attached speed controller module.

  3. Repair Wiring

If the diagnostic checks revealed a broken or chafed signal wire, splice and repair the wire using heat-shrink connectors. If the connector plug is melted, splice in a replacement pigtail harness.

  4. Replace the Controller

If the wiring is intact and the AIRCON module is outputting the correct signal, the fan speed controller itself has failed internally. Remove the mounting screws, unplug the unit, and install the new speed controller.

  5. Reassembly & Testing

Reconnect the battery. Turn the ignition on and cycle the HVAC fan through all speed settings to ensure the right fan responds correctly.

  6. Clear Codes

Use a compatible diagnostic scan tool to clear the 10.X.32 / 10.00.32 fault code from the AIRCON module's memory.

Parts you might need
