Massey Ferguson 107.31 – Engine Control Unit (ECU) / AGCO SISU POWER EEM4: Air Filter Blocked (ECU) / Air filter pressure sensor active at init state

   Physical Inspection: Check the primary and secondary engine air filters for heavy dirt accumulation, debris, or physical blockages.

   Key-On / Engine-Off Test: Turn the ignition on without starting the engine. If the code is immediately active, the ECU is receiving a false restriction signal (since no air is being pulled). This confirms a sensor or wiring issue.

   Wiring Harness Check: Inspect the wiring and the connector at the air filter pressure sensor/restriction switch for corrosion, open circuits, or shorts to ground.

   Sensor Test: If possible, plug in a known-good air filter pressure sensor to see if the fault code clears.

   Service the Air Intake

   Remove the air filter elements. Clean the inside of the air filter housing. If the filters are dirty or have reached their service interval, replace them.

   Clear and Retest

   Clear the fault code using a diagnostic tool. If the code does not return, the issue was a genuinely blocked filter. If the code returns immediately, proceed to step 3.

   Repair Wiring

   Disconnect the air filter restriction switch. Check the harness for continuity back to the ECU. Repair any broken wires or clean corroded connector pins.

   Replace the Sensor

   If the wiring is intact and the filters are clean, the air filter pressure sensor has failed internally and is stuck closed/active. Replace the sensor.

   Final Verification

   Reconnect the new sensor, clear the ECU codes, and start the tractor to ensure the code does not return.
