Massey Ferguson 1077.03 – Engine Control Unit (ECU): Fuel Solenoid On High Pressure Pump Issue
Issue description
MPROP control (Metering unit) AD-channel voltage is above normal. This typically indicates that the Engine Control Unit has detected a short circuit to a high voltage source (Battery +) or an open circuit in the solenoid's wiring.

Check the cause
Inspect the wiring harness and connector at the MPROP solenoid (located on the high-pressure fuel pump) for chafing, melted insulation, or disconnected pins.
Use a multimeter to test the MPROP circuit between the solenoid connector and the Engine ECU. Check for a short to battery voltage (B+) or an open circuit.
Measure the resistance of the MPROP solenoid coil to verify it is not internally shorted or open.
Connect the AGCO Service Tool (WinEEM4) and run the high-pressure pump test function to monitor commanded vs. actual rail pressure and check for pump leakage.
Repair steps
Disconnect Power
Disconnect the tractor's battery to prevent electrical spikes during repair.
Repair Wiring
If the diagnostic checks revealed a short to power or an open wire in the harness, repair the damaged section of the wiring or replace the pigtail connector.
Replace the MPROP Valve
If the wiring is intact but the solenoid failed the resistance test, the MPROP valve must be replaced. Clean the area around the high-pressure pump thoroughly, unplug the electrical connector, remove the mounting screws, and carefully extract the valve. Lubricate the O-rings on the new MPROP valve with clean diesel fuel and install it into the pump. Torque the fasteners to OEM specifications.
Reassemble and Bleed
Reconnect the electrical connector and the battery. Prime the low-pressure fuel system to remove any introduced air.
Clear Codes
Use the AGCO Service Tool to clear the 001077.03 / SPN 1077 FMI 3 fault code. Start the engine and verify that the fuel rail pressure matches the ECU's target pressure.
