108.03

Massey Ferguson 108.03 – Engine ECU (AGCO SISU POWER EEM3 or EEM4): Ambient Pressure Sensor Issue (ECU)

Issue description

Ambient pressure sensor voltage is above normal or there is an open circuit (HIGH ambient pressure sensor fault). The ambient pressure sensor is an internal hardware component built directly into the ECU circuit board.

Check the cause

  1. Verify ECU power and ground connections are clean, tight, and providing proper voltage, as poor grounds can cause internal reference voltages to spike.

  2. Test the system by plugging in a known-good EEM3/EEM4 Engine ECU.

  3. Evaluate the results: if the system is functional and the 000108.03 fault is no longer active with the replacement ECU, the original ECU has suffered an internal hardware failure.

Repair steps

  1. Disconnect Power

Disconnect the tractor's battery (negative terminal first) to prevent electrical spikes.

  2. Remove the ECU

Locate the Engine ECU (typically mounted on the side of the engine block or firewall, depending on the model). Disconnect the main wiring harness connectors. Remove the mounting bolts and extract the module.

  3. Install the New ECU

Mount the replacement ECU and securely reconnect the wiring harnesses.

  4. Flash/Program the ECU

Connect the AGCO Electronic Diagnostic Tool (EDT) to the tractor's diagnostic port and flash the ECU with the correct software/calibration file for the specific tractor's serial number and engine tier.

  5. Clear Codes and Test

Reconnect the battery, turn the key to the ON position, and use the EDT to clear any inactive codes. Start the engine and verify that the 000108.03 code does not return.

Parts you might need

(1)
  • Engine Electronic Control Unit (ECU) / EEM3 or EEM4 Controller

Varies strictly by tractor model, engine tier, and serial number. Alternatively, send the faulty ECU to a specialized agricultural electronics repair facility.
