Check the cause
Connect the AGCO Electronic Diagnostic Tool (EDT) or WinEEM4 service tool
Verify that the 00108.04 (SPN 108 FMI 4) fault is currently active
Save the ECU error log to your diagnostic tool
Erase the error log from the ECU memory
Restart the ECU (cycle the ignition key off, wait for the ECU to power down, and turn the key back on)
Re-check the active codes. If the fault code returns immediately, the internal sensor has permanently failed
Repair steps
Condemn ECU
If the diagnostic reset fails to clear the code, the entire Engine ECU must be condemned.
Disconnect battery
Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
Disconnect wiring harnesses
Disconnect the 154-pin or 192-pin wiring harness connectors from the EEM4 ECU.
Remove ECU
Unbolt and remove the defective ECU from its mounting bracket.
Install replacement ECU
Install the replacement EEM4 ECU.
Reconnect components
Reconnect the wiring harnesses and battery.
Program ECU
Programming Required: A new or remanufactured ECU will be blank or lack the specific tractor's calibration. You must use the AGCO EDT software to flash the correct engine software, input the injector trim codes, and calibrate the module to the tractor's CAN bus system.
