Engine coolant temperature exceeds the maximum safe trip point (>106°C or >113°C) and the time limit for this threshold has expired, causing the system to reduce engine power to prevent catastrophic damage.

   Check the coolant fluid level to ensure the system has adequate coolant

   Check the condition of the radiator for physical blockages, debris, or damage that would restrict heat dissipation

   Check the condition of the ventilating grids (vent lattices) to ensure screens and grilles are clear of chaff, dust, and agricultural debris

   Check sensor electrical integrity by verifying the sensor wiring does not have an open circuit and that the voltage is not reading abnormally high or low

   Cool Down

   Allow the engine to cool completely before opening the cooling system.

   Fluid & Airflow Inspection

   Top up the coolant liquid if the level is low. Clean the radiator and ventilating grids thoroughly.

   Harness Testing

   Inspect the wiring harness leading to the coolant temperature sensor. Look for damaged wires or disconnected plugs that would cause an open circuit or voltage drop.

   Sensor Replacement

   If the fluid levels are correct, the radiator is clean, and the wiring is intact but the ECU still receives an out-of-range signal (or if the sensor is physically damaged), replace the Coolant Temperature Sensor.

   Clear Codes

   Clear the error code from the control unit dashboard and run the engine to verify the temperature remains within normal operating parameters. If the issue persists, contact your dealer.
