Check the cause
Inspect the wiring harness and the electrical connector at the air brake solenoid for corrosion, frayed wires, or loose connections.
Disconnect the solenoid and use a multimeter to measure the resistance (Ohms) across the solenoid coil pins. An open circuit (infinite resistance) or a short circuit (zero resistance) indicates a failed internal coil.
With the key ON and the brake engaged, check the harness side of the connector for proper supply voltage from the TRANS1 module.
Verify that the tractor's air compressor is building adequate pressure and check the air lines leading to the solenoid for kinks, leaks, or blockages.
Repair steps
Depressurize the System
Park the tractor on a level surface, turn off the engine, and pump the brakes or use the air tank drain valves to completely bleed all compressed air from the system.
Disconnect Electricals
Unplug the electrical wiring harness connector from the faulty air brake solenoid.
Remove Air Lines
Carefully disconnect the pneumatic lines from the valve. Tip: Mark the inlet and outlet lines with tape to ensure they are not swapped during reassembly.
Dismount the Valve
Remove the mounting bolts securing the solenoid valve to the tractor chassis/bracket and remove the unit.
Install the New Valve
Mount the replacement air brake solenoid and tighten the retaining bolts.
Reconnect Lines
Reattach the pneumatic lines to their correct ports and plug in the electrical connector.
Test the System
Start the tractor and allow the air compressor to build up system pressure. Apply the brakes and use soapy water on the pneumatic fittings to check for air leaks.
Clear Codes
Use a diagnostic tool or the tractor's onboard dash menu to clear the 13.00.08 fault code from the TRANS1 module.
