Massey Ferguson 13.00.2D – TRANS1: Brake System Pressure Signal Issue Dyna VT (TRANS1)

The electronic control system is receiving an invalid, out-of-range, or missing electrical signal from the brake system pressure sensor.    Verify the code: Ensure there are no accompanying mechanical pressure codes (such as 13.00.2E or 13.00.30) which would point to an actual hydraulic pressure drop rather than a signal failure.

   Inspect wiring and connectors: Check the wiring harness running to the pressure sensor. Pay special attention to the electrical plug/harness under the cab on top of the transmission, which is prone to connection issues.

   Check sensor voltage: Test the signal voltage from the sensor to the TRANS1 module to determine if the circuit is open, shorted to ground, or shorted to +12V.

   Locate the Sensor

   The brake pressure sensor is generally located on the transmission valve block. Depending on the model, it may be found under the cab on top of the transmission, or near the rear left of the transmission housing. Note: Accessing the sensor under the cab may require removing hydraulic lines or raising the cab slightly for clearance.

   Relieve Pressure

   Ensure the tractor is turned off, the park brake is engaged, and hydraulic pressure is relieved.

   Remove the Sensor

   Disconnect the electrical harness plug from the sensor. Unthread the faulty sensor from the transmission block.

   Install the New Sensor

   Thread the new OEM pressure sensor into the port and tighten it. Reconnect the electrical harness.

   Clear Codes and Calibrate

   Clear the fault codes via the tractor's diagnostic interface. If the tractor remains locked in park after replacement, actuate a hydraulic remote or run a cab suspension calibration cycle (raising and lowering the cab) to satisfy the computer and release the park brake lock-out.
