Massey Ferguson 13.00.2F – TRANS1: Issue With Park Lock Proximity Switch On The Axle Dyna VT

This code triggers when the transmission controller detects an irregular, missing, or out-of-range signal from the proximity switch responsible for monitoring the physical engagement or disengagement of the mechanical park lock mechanism on the rear axle.

   Locate the park lock proximity switch on the rear axle/transmission housing, generally tucked under the cab.

   Inspect the electrical plug and the wiring harness running to the sensor under the cab for chafed wires, pinched lines, or corrosion inside the connector.

   Check harness tension by calibrating or raising the cab suspension to see if shifting the cab relieves tension on the harness and temporarily restores the sensor signal (especially common on 8600 series).

   Use a multimeter to test the sensor's circuit for an open circuit, a short to ground (-), or a short to +12V.

   Secure the Tractor

   Park the tractor on a flat, level surface. Chock the wheels securely, as you will be working on the park lock system and the tractor could roll if the lock disengages.

   Access the Sensor

   Locate the faulty proximity switch on the axle housing. Depending on the tractor model, you may need to remove shielding or slightly raise the cab suspension for better access.

   Disconnect

   Unplug the electrical connector from the proximity switch.

   Clean the Area

   Thoroughly clean the area around the base of the switch to prevent dirt or debris from falling into the axle/transmission housing.

   Remove the Switch

   Unscrew the proximity switch from the housing.

   Install the New Part

   Thread the new proximity switch into the housing and tighten it to the OEM torque specification.

   Reconnect and Clear

   Reconnect the electrical harness. Turn on the ignition and use a diagnostic scan tool (or the tractor's onboard Datatronic/terminal menu) to clear the 13.00.2F fault code.

   Test

   Engage and disengage the park lock multiple times to ensure the transmission controller registers the movement and the code does not return.
