Massey Ferguson 13.00.30 – TRANS1: Park Brake System Pressure Issue Dyna VT
Issue description
The transmission control system has detected an abnormal hydraulic pressure reading within the park brake circuit. The system is either seeing pressure when it shouldn't (e.g., pressure not dropping when the brake is applied) or failing to see adequate pressure to release the spring-applied park brake.

Check the cause
Inspect the wiring harness leading to the park brake pressure sensor and the park brake solenoid on the transmission valve block for chafed wires, corrosion in the connectors, or bent pins.
Back-probe the park brake pressure sensor to verify it is receiving the correct reference voltage (usually 5V) and that the signal wire is returning a voltage within the specified range to the TRANS1 module.
Install a mechanical hydraulic pressure gauge into the park brake circuit test port and compare the reading against the pressure value displayed on the tractor's diagnostic screen. If mechanical pressure is normal but the sensor reading is erratic, the sensor is faulty.
Test the park brake solenoid coil for proper resistance and ensure it is not shorted to ground or drawing high/low amperage.
Verify the physical handbrake switch in the cab is functioning correctly and sending the proper engagement/disengagement signal to the controller.
Repair steps
Secure the Machine
Park the tractor on a flat, level surface. Turn off the engine and chock the wheels securely, as you will be working on the park brake system and the tractor could roll.
Relieve Pressure
Actuate the brake pedals and handbrake several times with the engine off to relieve residual hydraulic accumulator pressure in the braking circuit.
Locate the Component
Locate the park brake pressure sensor or solenoid on the Dyna VT transmission hydraulic control block (usually accessible from under the right-hand side of the cab).
Remove the Faulty Part
Disconnect the electrical connector. Using the appropriate wrench, carefully unthread the pressure sensor or solenoid valve. Have a rag ready to catch minor hydraulic fluid spillage.
Install the New Part
Lubricate the O-ring on the new OEM sensor/solenoid with clean hydraulic transmission fluid. Thread it into the valve block and torque to the manufacturer's specification.
Reconnect and Bleed
Reconnect the electrical harness. Start the tractor and allow hydraulic pressure to build. Check for leaks around the new fitting. (Note: Some Dyna VT brake circuits may require a specific bleeding procedure via the Datatronic terminal or diagnostic tool).
Clear Codes
Use the tractor's onboard diagnostic menu or a dealer diagnostic tool to clear the 13.00.30 fault code. Cycle the park brake on and off to verify the code does not return.
