   Coil Resistance Test: Disconnect the solenoid and measure the resistance across the coil pins with a multimeter. An infinite reading indicates an open circuit (blown coil), while a reading of zero or near-zero indicates a short circuit.

   Voltage Supply Check: With the key ON and the park brake switch engaged/disengaged, check the connector (harness side) to ensure the TRANS1 module is sending the correct operating voltage to the solenoid.

   Pneumatic/Hydraulic Check: Ensure the tractor's air system is building and maintaining proper pressure, as low system pressure can sometimes trigger secondary brake faults.

   Secure the Machine

   Park the tractor on a flat, level surface. Since you are working on the park brake system, chock the wheels securely to prevent the machine from rolling.

   Depressurize the System

   Bleed the air from the pneumatic brake circuit to ensure there is no residual pressure when removing the valve.

   Locate the Solenoid

   Locate the air brake control valve block (typically mounted near the transmission housing or rear axle). Identify the specific solenoid for the park brake.

   Disconnect

   Unplug the electrical connector from the solenoid.

   Remove the Solenoid

   Remove the retaining nut or bolts holding the solenoid coil to the valve stem. If the entire valve cartridge needs to be replaced, unthread the cartridge from the valve block.

   Install the New Part

   Install the new solenoid coil (or cartridge). If installing a cartridge, ensure the O-rings are lubricated with clean system fluid before threading it in.

   Reassemble and Test

   Reconnect the electrical harness. Start the tractor, allow the air system to build pressure, and clear the fault codes from the TRANS1 module. Cycle the park brake switch several times to ensure proper engagement and disengagement.
