   Check for related codes that might narrow down the issue, such as 13.01.2D (Brake System Pressure Signal Issue) or 13.01.2F (Issue With Park Lock Proximity Switch)

   Inspect wiring and connectors at the transmission valve block (often under the cab) for loose connections or chafing, particularly the electrical plug running to the sensor

   Test the handbrake pressure sensor to verify if it is sending the correct voltage/resistance back to the TRANS1 module

   Test the park brake solenoid coil for an open circuit or short, and ensure it is receiving the command voltage when the park brake is engaged/disengaged

   Secure the Tractor

   Park the tractor on flat, level ground. Chock the wheels to prevent rolling, as you will be working on the park brake system.

   Locate the Components

   Locate the handbrake pressure sensor and the park brake solenoid. These are typically found on the top/side of the transmission housing. Note: On some larger models (like the 8600 series), accessing the sensor under the cab can be tight and may require moving hydraulic lines or utilizing the cab suspension calibration to raise the cab slightly for better clearance.

   Repair Wiring

   If the diagnostic checks revealed a broken wire or corroded connector at the sensor or solenoid, repair the harness and re-test.

   Replace the Sensor/Solenoid

   If the pressure sensor is faulty, depressurize the system, unscrew the old sensor, install the new OEM sensor, and reconnect the harness. If the solenoid is faulty, remove the retaining nut, slide off the old solenoid coil, and install the replacement.

   Clear Codes and Calibrate

   Use a diagnostic tool to clear the 13.01.2E fault code from the TRANS1 module. Start the tractor and cycle the park brake to ensure the pressure issue is resolved and the tractor successfully releases from park.
