13.03.17

Massey Ferguson 13.03.17 – TRANS1: Park Brake Release Solenoid Low Amp Draw Dyna VT (TRANS1)

Issue description

The controller is detecting less electrical current than expected on the circuit for the park brake release solenoid, which typically points to high electrical resistance, a failing solenoid coil, damaged wiring, or a loose/corroded connector.

Check the cause

  1. Inspect the wiring harness between the TRANS1 controller and the Park Brake Release Solenoid for breaks, chafing, or corrosion

  2. Check connectors on the solenoid circuit for loose pins or corrosion that could cause high electrical resistance

  3. Test the park brake release solenoid coil for internal faults causing low amp draw

Repair steps

  1. Replace solenoid valve

If the wiring is intact but the solenoid fails electrical testing, the solenoid valve must be replaced.
