Massey Ferguson 13.03.19 – TRANS1: Brake System Pressure Too High Dyna VT
Issue description
The system has detected that the hydraulic or pneumatic pressure within the brake system (often the handbrake/ParkLock or trailer brake circuit) has exceeded the maximum allowable threshold. This is typically caused by a faulty brake pressure sensor sending an incorrect high-voltage signal, a short circuit in the sensor wiring, or a physical blockage/valve failure in the transmission's brake circuit.

Check the cause
Check transmission/hydraulic oil level to ensure it is correct, as low or degraded oil can cause erratic pressure readings and valve sticking.
Inspect the condition of the air/hydraulic connection couplers with the implement braking system if hooked up to an implement.
Inspect the wiring harness leading to the handbrake/trailer brake pressure sensor for chafed wires, corrosion in the connector, or a short-to-ground/short-to-power.
Test the signal voltage from the brake pressure sensor to the TRANS1 module using a multimeter to determine if the sensor is stuck in a high-reading state.
Repair steps
Depressurize the System
Ensure the tractor is parked on level ground, the engine is off, and the wheels are chocked. Pump the brake pedals to relieve any residual hydraulic/pneumatic pressure in the system.
Locate the Sensor
Locate the Handbrake / Trailer Brake Pressure Sensor on the transmission valve block (usually located on the right-hand side of the transmission housing or near the trailer brake output valves).
Disconnect Electronics
Carefully unplug the electrical connector from the pressure sensor.
Remove the Sensor
Using a properly sized wrench or deep socket, unthread the faulty pressure sensor. Have a rag ready, as a small amount of hydraulic fluid may leak.
Install the New Sensor
Thread the new OEM pressure sensor into the port. Tighten to the manufacturer's specified torque (do not overtighten, as this can damage the sensor diaphragm).
Reconnect and Top Up
Reconnect the electrical harness. Check the transmission fluid level and top up if any significant amount was lost during the swap.
Clear Codes
Turn the ignition on and use a diagnostic tool to clear the 13.03.19 fault code from the TRANS1 module. Test the brakes and ParkLock system to ensure the code does not return.
