Massey Ferguson 13.03.2E – TRANS1: Park Brake System Pressure Issue
Issue description
The transmission control system is detecting an abnormal hydraulic pressure reading in the park brake circuit (either failing to drop when applied, or failing to build when released).

Check the cause
Inspect the handbrake pressure sensor on the transmission valve block and check its electrical connector for dirt, moisture, or corrosion.
Use a multimeter to check the wiring harness between the TRANS1 module and the pressure sensor for continuity, open circuits, or shorts to ground.
Connect a manual hydraulic pressure gauge to the park brake test port to verify if the issue is an actual hydraulic pressure failure (e.g., a failing pump or stuck park brake release solenoid) or just a faulty sensor reading.
Ensure the park brake release solenoids are operating correctly and not drawing high/low amps.
Repair steps
Depressurize the System
Ensure the tractor is parked on a flat surface, the engine is off, and the hydraulic system is fully depressurized. Chock the wheels since you will be working on the park brake system.
Locate the Sensor
Find the handbrake pressure sensor on the transmission housing/brake valve block.
Remove the Sensor
Disconnect the electrical harness. Use a wrench to carefully unthread the faulty pressure sensor. Have a rag ready to catch any residual hydraulic fluid.
Install the New Sensor
Thread the new OEM pressure sensor into the port. Tighten to the manufacturer's torque specification.
Reconnect and Clear Codes
Reconnect the electrical harness. Turn the tractor on and use the Massey Ferguson EST (Electronic Service Tool) or the in-cab diagnostic dashboard to clear the 13.03.2E fault code.
Test Operation
Start the tractor, engage and disengage the park brake multiple times, and verify that the fault code does not return and the tractor holds/releases the brake properly.
