Massey Ferguson 13.X.06 – TRANS1: Air Brake Park Brake Solenoid Issue
Issue description
This code indicates an indeterminate or unknown electrical fault with the pneumatic parking brake solenoid valve. The TRANS1 controller detects an irregular signal that does not strictly fit a dead short or a complete open circuit, affecting the transmission's braking and park-lock systems.

Check the cause
Visually inspect the X337 solenoid valve, wiring harness, and connector for signs of rubbing, corrosion, or moisture ingress
Disconnect the X337 solenoid and measure the resistance across the solenoid coil pins, comparing to OEM specifications
Check the wiring harness for continuity between the TRANS1 module connector and the X337 solenoid connector
Perform a voltage drop and short check to ensure the wiring is not intermittently shorting to the chassis ground or crossing with a +12V source
Repair steps
Power down machine
Turn off the tractor, engage the mechanical park brake (if applicable/safe), and disconnect the battery isolator switch (Component X338).
Locate solenoid
Locate the X337 Pneumatic brake ParkLock solenoid valve on the transmission/air brake valve block.
Clean and re-seat connector
If diagnostic checks revealed a dirty or loose connector, clean the pins with electrical contact cleaner, apply dielectric grease, and securely reconnect it.
Replace solenoid valve
If the solenoid coil failed the resistance test or the valve is mechanically sticking, remove the retaining hardware, swap in the new solenoid valve, and torque to OEM specifications.
Clear codes and test
Reconnect the battery, turn the ignition on, and use a diagnostic tool or the onboard dash menu to clear the 13.X.06 fault code. Test the park brake engagement/disengagement to ensure the code does not return.
Parts you might need
(1)Pneumatic Brake ParkLock Solenoid Valve (X337)
Specific OEM part numbers vary heavily depending on the exact tractor series and valve block revision. Look up 'Air Brake Park Brake Solenoid' or 'X337 Valve' in the AGCO parts catalog using the machine's specific serial number.
