   Use a multimeter to test the circuit for an open circuit, short to ground, or short to power.

   Measure the resistance (ohms) across the park brake solenoid coil to check for an internal short or open coil.

   Ensure the physical park brake switch in the cab is functioning correctly and not sticking, as switch failures can cascade into solenoid voltage logic errors.

   Power Down

   Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position and disconnect the battery isolator switch to prevent electrical spikes.

   Access the Valve Block

   Remove the necessary side panels or access plates to reach the transmission/hydraulic control valve block where the park brake solenoid is mounted.

   Disconnect Wiring

   Carefully unplug the weather-pack connector from the park brake solenoid.

   Replace the Solenoid

   Unbolt or unscrew the faulty park brake solenoid from the valve block. Catch any residual hydraulic fluid. Install the new solenoid and torque it to OEM specifications.

   Repair Wiring (If Applicable)

   If the harness was the issue, splice in a new connector pigtail or repair the rubbed wire, ensuring it is sealed with heat-shrink tubing.

   Reassemble and Clear Codes

   Reconnect the battery, turn on the ignition, and use a diagnostic tool (or the tractor's onboard DCC panel) to clear the inactive 13.X.46 fault code.

   Engage and disengage the park brake multiple times to ensure the solenoid actuates properly and the code does not return.
