Massey Ferguson 14.00.09 – TRANS1: High Pressure Brake System Pressure Too Low DYNA 6 (TRANS1)

The tractor's electronic control system has detected that the hydraulic pressure in the high-pressure brake circuit (which assists the service brakes and operates the park lock/trailer brake systems) has dropped below the minimum required threshold. This can result in a spongy brake pedal, heavy steering, or the tractor's computer constantly cycling the parking brake release valve to try and maintain pressure.

   Check transmission/hydraulic oil level and ensure filters are not blocked, as restricted flow can cause low pressure

   Check external air/hydraulic connection couplers to the implement braking system for leaks

   Test the brake pressure sensor and inspect its wiring harness for shorts or open circuits, as a faulty sensor can send a false low pressure signal

   Inspect the high-pressure brake accumulator to see if the nitrogen charge is depleted or the diaphragm is ruptured

   Listen for the parking brake solenoid valve cycling frequently (every 10-20 seconds), which indicates an internal hydraulic leak in the parking brake valve block

   Replace the Accumulator (If faulty)

   Remove the old accumulator and install the new pre-charged unit. Ensure the mounting location is secure to protect it from field debris and vibration.

   Replace the Pressure Sensor (If faulty)

   Unplug the electrical connector, unthread the old sensor from the brake valve block, and install the new sensor.

   Replace the Valve Block (If internal leaks are found)

   If the solenoids or internal seals in the parking brake valve block have failed, the entire valve block may need to be replaced.

   Bleed the Brake System

   Start the engine and let it idle (around 1200 RPM). Turn the steering wheel lock-to-lock slowly. Bleed the brakes at both sides using the bleed nipples on top of the rear axle trumpets. Work on one side at a time by splitting the brake pedals. Bleed the trailer brake unit as well. Ensure you are using the correct brake fluid.
