Massey Ferguson 14.01.02 – Transmission Control Module (TRANS1): High Pressure Brake System Pressure Too Low DYNA 6 (TRANS1)

The pressure in the tractor's pneumatic or hydraulic high-pressure braking system (often associated with the ParkLock or trailer air brakes) has dropped below the minimum safe operating threshold (below 4 bar / 58 psi).

   Check the condition of the air connection couplers between the tractor and the implement

   Inspect the implement braking system and the tractor's internal pneumatic/hydraulic braking system for audible or visible leaks

   Use a mechanical pressure gauge to verify if the system pressure is actually dropping below 4 bar (58 psi)

   Check the wiring harness and connector going to the brake pressure sensor for corrosion, chafing, or an open/short circuit

   Safely park the tractor on level ground.

   If the ParkLock system is compromised, ensure the wheels are securely chocked.

   Locate and repair physical leaks.

   If the mechanical pressure test confirms that the system is failing to build or hold 4 bar (58 psi) of pressure, locate and repair the physical leak in the air/hydraulic lines, couplers, or brake compressor system.

   Diagnose the brake pressure sensor.

   If the mechanical pressure is normal (above 4 bar) but the TRANS1 module is still reading low pressure, the brake pressure sensor is likely faulty.

   Locate the high-pressure brake system sensor.

   Often located near the transmission valve block or air tank, depending on the specific series.

   Disconnect the electrical harness.

   Disconnect the electrical harness from the sensor.

   Remove the faulty pressure sensor.

   Unthread the faulty pressure sensor from the port. (Note: Ensure the air/hydraulic system is depressurized before removing the sensor to prevent injury).

   Install the new pressure sensor.

   Install the new OEM pressure sensor and tighten it to the manufacturer's specified torque.

   Reconnect the electrical harness.

   Reconnect the electrical harness to the new sensor.

   Clear the fault code.

   Start the tractor, allow the system to build pressure, and use a diagnostic tool to clear the 14.01.02 fault code from the TRANS1 module.

    Test the system.

    Test the brakes and ParkLock system to ensure the code does not return.
