Massey Ferguson 14.01.03 – TRANS1: High Pressure Brake System Pressure Too High DYNA 6 (TRANS1)
Issue description
The electronic control system has detected that the hydraulic or pneumatic pressure within the high-pressure braking circuit has exceeded the maximum safe operating threshold.

Check the cause
Check for associated electrical codes such as 14.00.0A (Brake Pressure Sensor High Volts) or 14.01.07 (Brake Pressure Sensor Open Circuit), which point to a wiring or sensor failure.
Connect a mechanical pressure gauge to the brake system test port to verify the actual hydraulic/pneumatic pressure; if normal, the sensor is likely faulty.
Inspect the brake pressure sensor, wiring harness, and connector for corrosion, damage, or a short-to-voltage condition.
If the mechanical pressure is genuinely too high, inspect the brake pressure regulating valve and hydraulic return lines for blockages or sticking spools.
Repair steps
Depressurize the System
Turn off the tractor and safely relieve all hydraulic and pneumatic pressure from the brake system by pumping the brake pedals until they feel firm/depressurized.
Replace the Sensor (If Faulty)
Disconnect the electrical harness from the brake pressure sensor. Unthread the old sensor from the master cylinder or air supply line. Ensure the port is clean and free of debris. Thread in the new sensor and tighten to OEM torque specifications. Reconnect the electrical harness.
Address Mechanical Overpressure (If Applicable)
If the sensor was reading correctly and the pressure was actually too high, replace or rebuild the faulty brake pressure regulating valve.
Bleed the Brakes
If hydraulic lines were opened, bleed the brake system. Run the engine at idle (around 1200 RPM) and bleed the nipples on top of the rear axle trumpets one side at a time, as well as the trailer brake unit.
Clear Codes and Test
Clear the TRANS1 fault codes using a diagnostic tool. Start the tractor, test the brake function at low speeds, and verify that the 14.01.03 code does not return.
