Check the cause

  1. Verify the Air Supply / Trailer Brake Pressure Sensor wiring for shorts that might cause a falsely high voltage reading.

  2. Inspect the master cylinder and slave cylinders, checking that the brake pull rod and seals are in good condition, as worn components can cause system malfunctions.

  3. Verify that the system is using the correct fluid (LHM hydraulic fluid, not standard automotive brake fluid).

Repair steps

  1. Depressurize the system

Ensure the tractor is off and the high-pressure brake system (which operates at up to 18.5 bar) is safely depressurized before opening any lines.

  2. Replace faulty component

Remove the defective brake pressure sensor or master cylinder. When installing a new master cylinder, ensure the precision-machined bore and heavy-duty seals are properly aligned.

  3. Bleed the brakes

After installing new hydraulic components, thoroughly bleed the entire brake system to remove all air bubbles. Start the bleeding process with the wheel cylinder that is farthest from the master cylinder.

  4. Clear codes

Once the repair is complete and the system is bled, use a diagnostic tool to clear the 14.01.05 fault code from the TRANS1 module.
