Massey Ferguson 14.01.07 – TRANS1: Brake Pressure Sensor Open Circuit Dyna 6

The electronic control system detects an 'open circuit' (a break in the electrical path or a disconnected wire) at the brake pressure sensor. Because the circuit is open, the controller is not receiving a valid pressure signal from the sensor, which can impact transmission and braking interlocks.

   Locate the brake pressure sensor on the brake master cylinder or the air brake supply block

   Visually inspect the wiring harness leading to the sensor for chafing, cuts, or broken wires

   Disconnect the sensor and inspect the electrical connector pins for pushed-back pins, corrosion, or moisture ingress

   Use a multimeter to check for continuity between the sensor connector and the TRANS1 module harness to rule out a broken wire in the loom

   Test the sensor's internal resistance; if it reads completely open (infinite resistance), the sensor itself has failed internally

   Turn off the tractor, remove the key, and ensure the parking brake is engaged.

   Relieve any residual pressure in the brake/air system if required by the service manual.

   Locate the faulty brake pressure sensor.

   Find the sensor on the master cylinder/air supply block.

   Carefully unplug the electrical harness connector from the sensor.

   Unscrew and remove the old sensor.

   Have a rag ready to catch any minor fluid drips if it is tapped directly into a hydraulic line.

   Install the new OEM replacement sensor.

   Tighten it to the manufacturer's specified torque.

   Reconnect the electrical harness.

   Ensure the locking tab clicks securely into place.

   Clear the fault code.

   Turn the tractor on and use the onboard diagnostic screen or an OBD tool to clear the 14.01.07 fault code.

   Test the brake system and cycle the transmission.

   Ensure the code does not return.
