Massey Ferguson 14.02.04 – TRANS1: High Pressure Brake System Pressure DYNA 6 (TRANS1)
Issue description
This code indicates an anomaly in the high-pressure braking circuit on tractors equipped with the Dyna-6 transmission. The system is detecting an irregular pressure reading (which could be an actual hydraulic pressure issue or a false reading from a faulty sensor).

Check the cause
Inspect the wiring harness and connector going to the brake pressure sensor (handbrake/trailer brake pressure sensor) for chafing, corrosion, or an open circuit.
Verify actual hydraulic pressure in the high-pressure brake system using a mechanical pressure gauge at the transmission pressure connector to rule out a false sensor signal.
Check for air trapped in the assisted brake master cylinders, which can cause spongy brakes or erratic pressure readings.
Repair steps
Preparation
Park the tractor on a level surface, engage the park brake, turn off the engine, and relieve any residual hydraulic pressure.
Locate the Sensor
Locate the high-pressure brake sensor on the transmission/brake valve block.
Replace the Sensor
If diagnostics point to a failed sensor, disconnect the electrical harness. Unscrew the faulty sensor and install the new OEM replacement part.
Bleed the System
Locate the bleed screws on the assisted brake master cylinders. Attach a bleed hose and follow the standard bleeding procedure to purge all air from the high-pressure braking system.
Clear Codes
Turn the ignition on and use a diagnostic tool to clear the 14.02.04 fault code from the TRANS1 module.
Test
Start the tractor, allow hydraulic pressure to build, and test the brakes to ensure the code does not return.
