Massey Ferguson 14.02.08 – TRANS1: High Pressure Brake System Pressure Too Low
Issue description
The electronic control system has detected that the hydraulic pressure within the high-pressure braking circuit has dropped below the minimum threshold required for safe and normal operation.

Check the cause
Check the transmission/hydraulic oil levels. Inspect the high-pressure brake circuit lines, hoses, and fittings for any visible hydraulic leaks.
Locate the brake pressure sensor (typically mounted on the brake master cylinder or the associated hydraulic control block). Disconnect the wiring harness and inspect the pins for corrosion, moisture, or damage. Test the harness for continuity and ensure it is not shorting to the chassis.
Connect a mechanical hydraulic pressure gauge to the brake circuit test port. Compare the actual physical pressure against the reading the sensor is sending to the TRANS1 module. If the mechanical pressure is within spec but the sensor reads low, the sensor is faulty. If the mechanical pressure is actually low, you may have a failing hydraulic pump, a stuck relief valve, or an internal leak.
Repair steps
Depressurize the System
Park the tractor on a flat surface, turn off the engine, and engage the park brake. Pump the brake pedals several times to relieve any residual hydraulic pressure in the brake circuit.
Locate the Sensor
Locate the faulty brake pressure sensor on the master cylinder or brake valve block.
Remove the Sensor
Disconnect the electrical connector. Carefully unscrew the sensor from the hydraulic port. Have a shop rag ready to catch any minor fluid drips.
Install the New Sensor
Thread the new OEM pressure sensor into the port and tighten it to the torque specification outlined in your specific model's service manual.
Reconnect and Bleed
Reconnect the electrical harness. If a significant amount of fluid was lost or air entered the system, bleed the tractor's brake lines according to the OEM procedure.
Clear Codes
Start the tractor, test the brake pedals for a firm feel, and use a diagnostic tool to clear the 14.02.08 fault code from the TRANS1 module.
