Massey Ferguson 14.03.07 – TRANS1: Brake Pressure Sensor Open Circuit Dyna 6 (TRANS1)

The transmission control system has detected an open circuit (infinite resistance or a broken electrical connection) in the high-pressure brake system's pressure sensor circuit. Because the circuit is open, the controller cannot read the brake pressure, which is critical for the transmission's anti-stall, ParkLock, and clutch engagement functions.

   Locate the brake pressure sensor on the master cylinder, the air supply block, or the transmission control valve block (often designated as sensor X21 or X168)

   Inspect the wiring harness leading to the sensor for chafing, breaks, or rodent damage

   Disconnect the sensor plug and inspect the pins for corrosion, moisture, or pushed-out terminals

   Turn the key ON (engine off) and check the connector for the proper 5V reference and ground from the TRANS1 module. If voltage is present, measure the resistance across the sensor's terminals to confirm if the sensor has failed internally (infinite reading)

   Depressurize the System

   Turn off the tractor and pump the brake pedals repeatedly to relieve residual hydraulic/pneumatic pressure in the brake system.

   Disconnect Power

   Disconnect the negative battery terminal to protect the TRANS1 module from voltage spikes.

   Remove the Sensor

   Unplug the electrical connector from the faulty brake pressure sensor. Using a wrench, carefully unthread the sensor from the master cylinder or valve block. Have a rag ready to catch any minor fluid drips.

   Install the New Sensor

   Thread the new OEM sensor into the port by hand to prevent cross-threading, then tighten to the torque specification outlined in your specific model's service manual.

   Reconnect

   Plug the electrical harness back into the sensor, ensuring the locking tab clicks into place. Reconnect the battery.

   Clear Codes & Test

   Turn the ignition on and use a diagnostic scan tool (or the tractor's dashboard diagnostic menu) to clear the 14.03.07 fault code. Start the tractor, actuate the brakes and ParkLock, and verify that the code does not return and that the transmission engages properly.
