Massey Ferguson 14.03.08 – TRANS1: High Pressure Brake System Pressure Too Low DYNA 6 (TRANS1)
Issue description
The system has detected that the hydraulic pressure within the high-pressure braking circuit (or brake accumulator) has dropped below the minimum safe operating threshold. As a built-in safety mechanism, when the brake accumulated pressure is too low, the transmission controller will often lock out the transmission, preventing the tractor from engaging in drive or reverse.

Check the cause
Verify that the hydraulic/transmission fluid is at the correct level, as low fluid will prevent the system from building adequate pressure
Inspect the high-pressure brake circuit, brake master cylinders, and brake accumulators for visible hydraulic leaks
Check the brake pressure sensor's electrical connector and wiring harness for corrosion, chafing, or broken wires that could cause a false low-pressure reading
Verify if the brake accumulator has lost its nitrogen charge, which would prevent the system from maintaining high pressure
Repair steps
Rectify Fluid/Leak Issues
If fluid is low or leaks are found, repair the damaged hydraulic lines or seals and top up the transmission/hydraulic fluid.
Replace the Sensor
If the wiring is intact and the system is mechanically building pressure but the code persists, the brake pressure sensor is likely faulty and must be replaced. Depressurize the system before unthreading the old sensor. Install the new sensor and torque to OEM specifications.
Bleed the Braking System
Any time the high-pressure brake circuit is opened, you must perform the 'Procedure for bleeding the high-pressure braking system' and bleed the assisted brake master cylinders.
Clear Codes and Calibrate
Use a diagnostic tool to clear the 14.03.08 fault code from the TRANS1 module. Start the tractor, allow pressure to build, and test the transmission engagement (forward/reverse) to ensure the code does not return.
